‘Orange vintage is being actively exported and sold in Ajara. Today we t got acquainted with the current export procedure on the spot. More than 300 tons of citrus are exported twice a week by ferry. To date, more than 7,000 tons of mandarins have been exported from Adjara and more than 40,000 tons of citrus are planned to be exported during the year.

It is especially important that all ongoing processing operations required for export to be carried out as quickly as possible, with no exporters having significant delays. This whole chain must be efficient; it must be fast so that every farmer can get the planned income. Everything will be done for that,’ -Tornike Rijvadze said.
