New squares and large-scale communal infrastructure under construction in Batumi

The Chairman of the Government of Ajara Tornike Rijvadze together with the Acting Mayor of Batumi Archil Chikovani inspected the ongoing infrastructure projects in Batumi.

Arrangement of the main sewage collector on Kobalidze Street has been completed within the framework of the IV phase of the Batumi Municipal Infrastructure Rehabilitation Project. Road surface works are underway at the moment. In the framework of Phase IV, several projects are being implemented in parallel, with a total cost of 17 million euros.

Construction of a new square has started on Inasaridze Street in Batumi. Children's attractions and exercise machines will be organized within the project. Green cord and decorative tiles will be laid. A fountain and outdoor lighting system will be installed. Garden chairs and decorative bins will be placed. It is also planned to rehabilitate the sports field near the square and arrange a parking space.

At this stage, the installation of the drainage system has already been completed and the arrangement of the fountain and sidewalks is underway. The cost of the project exceeds 832 thousand GEL.
