Tornike Rijvadze gets acquainted with Landslide Cleaning Works

Tornike Rijvadze, the Chairman of Ajara AR Government got acquainted with the landslide cleaning works due to the heavy rain.

Equipment of Ajara Roads Department has been working in Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Keda and Shuakhevi municipalities since morning. Intensive mode of cleaning landslides due to heavy rainfall is underway.

As the Chairman of the Government of Ajara said, no family will be left unattended. ‘Landslides have developed in Khelvachauri and Kobuleti municipalities as a result of heavy rainfall. We got acquainted with the situation on the spot. There is a headquarters including the Ajara Road Department, the apparatus, as well as the local self-government. Those families who need to be relocated to a safe place will be relocated today. Geologists will start working and everything will be done so that no family is left without attention, Tornike Rijvadze said.

Traffic on Kobuleti-Katamadze-Alambari road has been restored as a result of intensive work in the village. Ahjgdsbout 40 landslides occurred in Kobuleti and the roofs of five houses were damaged. The disaster also damaged the greenhouse of "Agroservice Center".

In Keda and Shuakhevi municipalities, clean-up works are underway on the road from rocky outcrops.
