In 2023, the construction of the Educational Building and Campus of Batumi State University will begin, the financing of studies and internships abroad will increase

Tornike Rijvadze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara talked about 2023 budget at Government session and noted that funding of universities will increase; also construction of a new campus of Batumi State University will begin; Budget for construction and rehabilitation of schools will also increase.

‘One of the important directions is education and youth support. Relevant programs are growing in this direction as well. As funding for the university's program directions increases, we all made a decision together to build a new residential campus, designed for 400 students, which will allow students from both the Ajara highlands and other neighboring regions to study and live in a dormitory on the basis of a very minimal fee. We are increasing funding for both study and practice abroad. At the same time, I would like to inform you that from next year we will launch intensive training courses both in Khulo district and Shuakhevi district, where all entrants will be given the opportunity to prepare for admission to the university. Also, I would like to point out that the financing of infrastructure programs in terms of education infrastructure will be determined by 25 million GEL next year,’ said Tornike Rijvadze.

In 2023, up to 200 students will benefit from funding for study abroad. 100 students will be funded for study and internship abroad.
