Batumi wins the Title of the World's Fastest Growing Tourist Destination

Batumi has won the tourism Oscar as the world's fastest growing tourist destination. After the European competition of the World Travel Awards, Batumi competed with cities from such countries as France, Japan, Colombia, Mexico, Laos, Uruguay, Bulgaria and Northern Ireland at the World Travel Awards ceremony. This is the first award for Batumi, which the city received at the Oscar of Tourism World Awards ceremony.

At the World Travel Awards, the world's best tourist destinations, countries, hotels, travel agencies, tourist attractions and transport companies were named. Hundreds of nominations and thousands of nominees were divided into different categories according to continents and countries. Batumi was nominated for the World Awards ceremony for the first time this year, and the city won the title of the fastest growing European tourist destination of the World Travel Awards in the fall, where Batumi was also officially named as the host city of the 2023 World Travel Awards European Gala Ceremony.
