Tornike Rijvadze: ‘Glory to the heroes who fought for our better future and a better world’
Tornike Rijvadze, the chairman of the government of Ajara with the Mayor of Batumi, deputies of the government of Ajara, the Supreme Council and the Sakrebulo paid tribute to the memory of those who died in the Second World War. Members of the government decorated the grave of Georgian captain Anatoli Kacharava with flowers.
‘I want to congratulate you on the day of victory over fascism. The contribution of Georgia and Georgians to this victory is great. Glory to the heroes, their names, who fought for our better future and for a better world’ - Tornike Rijvadze said.
May 9 is the day of victory over fascism. 78 years have passed since the end of the Second World War. About 60 million people died in the war, in which 700,000 people from Georgia took part.
