Batumi hosts International Batumi Open Karate Tournament
Batumi hosted the International Batumi Open Karate Tournament. The tournament lasted for two days and 230 athletes from different countries participated in it.
Tornike Rijvadze, the chairman of the government of Ajara, attended the final meeting of the international tournament and took part in awarding the winning athletes.
‘I am especially happy about the success of our athletes, both in the country and on the international arena. I congratulate them on today's victory! Support for sports and athletes continues. Everything will be done to support the athletes and their coaches, both in terms of training and participation in international tournaments and construction of modern sports infrastructure,’ - said Tornike Rijvadze.
Georgia took first place in the team championship. Diplomas, cups and medals of appropriate quality were awarded to the winners.
