Subsidy for non-standard Citrus doubled in Ajara, Citrus Coordination Headquarters launched

In order to facilitate the smooth implementation of the citrus season and the sale of citrus, the citrus coordination headquarters was launched, which was opened by the chairman of the government of Ajara, Tornike Rijvadze.

According to the decision of the government of A jara, the subsidy on non-standard tangerines for industrial processing has been doubled, and citrus farmers will be financed by the state with 30 tetri instead of 15 tetri. The chairman of the government of Ajara took part in the orange harvest and personally introduced the decision regarding the increased subsidy to the farmers. According to forecast data, up to 55 thousand tons of citrus are expected this year.

This year, more than 20 citrus receiving-processing enterprises will receive export tangerines, as for non-standard fruits, the Kobuleti cannery will process an unlimited amount. Citrus headquarters aims to facilitate citrus logistics and sales, as well as provide citrus subsidies. The headquarters will continue to work until February 1.
