Tkhilvana Population involved in Ecomigrants Resettlement Program
Government Commission and population of the village Tkhilvana have been negotiated. The Chairman of Ajara AR Government Zurab Pataradze was personally involved in the one-month negotiation process.
More than 90 families were involved in eco-housing program. Most of them will receive compensation of 25 thousand GEL. As the Deputy Minister of Health and Social Care Ramaz Jintcharadze noted, remaining five families have been negotiated today. They will be registered in the common eco base in the near future. Eco-migrants will be compensated at the end of March. Families, that have never received any kind of compensation from the government and those living near the river will be resettled first.
‘I have been involved in the negotiation process. We have visited each family and studied their situation individually. Negotiations turned out to be fruitful. These families will be resettled in the safe places. One of the priorities of our government is people’s safety’ – Zurab Pataradze said.
Village Tkhilvana was damaged by landslide and threat posed to more than 90 families. Problem of population’s accommodation in a safe place was solved by state programs.
