Information campaign – ‘Fight against Trafficking and Trafficking Demand Reduction’
Information campaign – ‘Fight against Trafficking and Trafficking Demand Reduction’ was held today in Batumi. The Chairman of Ajara AR Government Zurab Pataradze was involved in the event.
Zurap Patardze participated in the meeting held at Sarpi Customs Zone. The head of International Public Law Department of the Ministry of Justice Ketevan Sarajishvili and representatives of the Revenues Service of Ministry of Finance of Georgia and Police Department of Interior Ministry also attended the meeting.
Zurab Pataradze welcomed the audience: ‘Fight against trafficking is very important to our region. Human trafficking is unacceptable. Our community should be involved in this very important event in order to raise awareness. Each resident should try his/her best to prevent similar crimes. I am confident that we will do everything to minimize trafficking cases with our joint efforts, programs and fight in our region. It is XXI century and all we need is a safe environment. We actually have ambition to be considered as one of the safest regions in the world and this trend, of course, is to be kept’ – Zurab Pataradze said.
The above mentioned event was part of the project ‘Fight against Trafficking and Trafficking Demand Reduction’. The project is funded by the US Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Bureau (INL). It is implemented by the International Organization for Migration.
