Tornike Rijvadze, the Chairman of Ajara AR Government announced at the Government Session that studying families affected by disaster couple of weeks ago has finished. More than 900 families have been considered to be affected, for which half million Gel will be allocated from the budget.

‘The Ministry of Agriculture and the relevant self-governments described the families affected by the heavy hailstorm in high-mountainous Ajara very promptly last week. We have decided that more than 900 families and farmers will be compensated and they will be reimbursed for the damage they have suffered’ - said Tornike Rijvadze.

The Chairman also spoke about citrus farmers who will benefit from non-standard fruit subsidies.

‘We will take into account the problems of citrus in the budget this year, during the relevant adjustments. A budgetary subsidy will be provided, which will allow us to successfully carry out the orange harvest this year’ – Tornike Rijvadze said.
