Construction of Dream City in an Active Phase

The implementation of the Dream City project is underway. At this stage, three 12-storey residential apartments are being constructed. Work is ongoing on the pandemic period, in accordance with the relevant recommendations.

Tornike Rijvadze, Chairman of the Government of Ajara visited the ‘Dream City’. The Chairman together with the Minister of Finance and Economy of Ajara and the Minister of Health inspected the construction process. Tornike Rizhvadze met with the population, informed them about the construction process. He also got acquainted with the challenges of the local population and their expectations.

The commission has started working on a document on the criteria for transferring apartments to the population of the city of dreams. At this stage, UNICEF, the Red Cross and the Office of the Public Defender of Georgia are participating in the work of the Government Commission of Ajara. About 120 people are employed in the work process.

The decision to build houses on the territory of the city of dreams was made by the government of Ajara due to the difficult social and inadequate living conditions there.
